History

Pacific Truck Colors, Inc., commonly referred to as PTC, is a woman owned, local business. In March of 1992, PTC leased a building in Portland, Oregon and began painting with five employees. In February of 1993, PTC moved into a new 12,500 sq. ft. building in Tualatin, Oregon. We started with one 60-foot, flash dry, 2.5 million BTU, cross draft with filter in and out air paint booth. Due to our growing business, we realized the need for additional space, so in June of 1999 we completed our expansion which doubled our size. In 2003 we installed an additional 40-foot, flash dry, 2.8 million BTU, paint booth. In 2007 we added an additional 2,000 sq. ft. to handle our expanding van interior upfits. Today our facility has 27,000 sq. ft., two paint booths and 25 employees to accommodate our customers’ needs.

From painting only, PTC has moved into different fields of opportunity that compliment our paint operation and customer needs. Today we have a Collision Department, a Graphics Department, a Truck Equipment Sales and Installation Department, and a Parts & Service Department.

As one of the largest fleet and truck service companies in the Northwest, PTC has earned a well-deserved reputation as a virtual “one-stop shop” for fleet and truck service needs.

Out of many fleet service providers in the Portland metro area, only one does painting, collision repair, truck equipment sales & installation, and vehicle signage & graphics under one roof. That company is PTC.

We have a 27,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility fully equipped with the finest fleet service tools and staffed with professional personnel. No job is too big, no job is too small. We have the flexibility to accommodate any size fleet, even if it is just one truck!

What makes PTC unique?

Fast turnaround time: Most shops lack the proper equipment or staff for rapid turn around times, which leaves you losing money while your truck is out of service. At PTC, we have the shortest turnaround times in our industry… often less than 3 days! Unlike many fleet repair shops that have to subcontract out their work, PTC has all the equipment and personnel to do everything in-house. This will get your truck back on the road, earning you money 1-2 days faster!

Work is done right, the first time: Nothing is more frustrating than when your truck has been in the shop for 4 days and the work wasn’t done right. For your truck to make money for you and perform the way it should, you need the work done correctly. At PTC we have employed professionals with a combined experience of over 73 years of experience to make certain that you have the best people working on your fleet.

Jobs are completed to spec: Poor communication at the start of a job can easily lead to confusion and disappointment. At PTC, we provide you with all the available choices and information necessary so that there is straightforward communication from the very beginning. We also believe that being honest with our customers on the progress of their trucks is vital. You need to know exactly when your truck is going to be ready. PTC will always keep you informed on the progress of your truck. We will also promptly notify you should there be any delay in the process.
